This is what I love the most about wrock shows—they’re so intimate and everyone is equal levels of nerdy so the best conversations and experiences can come in between rocking the fuck out. Also: YAY FOR TEACHERS! ♥ newandhorrible: I CAN’T BELIEVE I DIDN’T POST THIS PICTURE BEFORE. Jessica, Bryce Cone (Neville’s Diary!), and I. Oh, gosh, he is just the best. We went to his set in the Willow, where he mentioned being a teacher. Jessica and I FREEEAKED OUT (even though we knew he was a teacher, because we saw him at Wrock Chicago) and he asked what we taught. We screamed, “ORCHESTRA!” And he paused, pointed to himself, and said, “Band!” That night, I (half-drunkenly) went up and introduced myself to him. We talked about teaching, and the issues we deal with, and it was really cool to have that sort of a conversation within a larger wizard rock setting. Oh, and I’m totally crouching down. I’m usually the same height as Jessica. Even though Bryce is completely awesome, he is a tiny, tiny man.
